Shelfie collects only what it needs to sign you in, generate your product images, and keep your account running. We don’t sell your data. Your uploads and generated images are used to provide the Service to you — not to train models. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

This Privacy Policy describes how Shelfie (“Shelfie,” “we,” “us”) handles personal data when you use the Shelfie website, studio and related services (the “Service”). It works alongside our Terms & Conditions.

• Account & sign-in data. When you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information such as your name, email address and Google account identifier so we can create and authenticate your account.
• Uploads (Input). The product photos you upload in order to generate images.
• Generated images & history. The output images we create for you and your generation history.
• Usage & plan data. Your current plan, monthly shot usage against your cap, and basic activity needed to operate the Service.
• Technical data. Standard logs such as device/browser information and session cookies used to keep you signed in.

• To authenticate you and run your account.
• To process your uploads and generate, store and display your output images.
• To enforce monthly plan caps and, when paid plans launch, to bill you.
• To keep the Service secure, debug issues, and prevent abuse.
• To communicate with you about your account and important changes.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your uploads or generated images to train AI models.

Shelfie relies on a few trusted providers to operate. These include:

• Google Sign-In for authentication.
• Google Gemini image generation (currently via our model provider) to produce your output images. To generate an image, your upload is sent to this provider for processing.
• Hosting & database providers used to run the Service and store your account data, uploads and generated images.

These providers process data on our behalf and are subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

We keep your account data, uploads and generated images for as long as your account is active so that features like your gallery and generation history work. You can ask us to delete your account and associated content; we will remove it within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain data to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes. Backups and logs may persist for a limited time before being overwritten.

We use cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to operate the Service. We do not use them to build advertising profiles. You can control cookies through your browser, but disabling essential cookies may prevent sign-in from working.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise these rights — or simply request deletion of your account and content — by contacting us at the address below. You may also stop using the free tier at any time.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including authenticated access and encrypted transport. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to safeguard your information.

Shelfie is not directed to children. You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to use the Service, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
